Welcome and thank you for the privilege of sharing biblical meditation with you. To learn how to meditate biblically is a decision that will not only revolutionize your life but also bring you into a relationship with the Lord that most people only dream about. However, it is not, as many may think, some mystical experience or jumping thru hoops to achieve a spiritual nirvana. To the contrary, biblical meditation is surprisingly simple, typical of the way the Lord does things.
The mission of the Biblical Meditation Centre is unique. Though you'll need help for a while to learn biblical meditation, after you learn how to do it, a drastic change will take place: The Holy Spirit himself will become your teacher, teaching you from the book he wrote, the Bible. When this happens, you have truly entered the promised land. Once you are there, the possibilies are limitless.
At this point you may want to join the Biblical Meditation Centre community, which you can do by simply understanding our vision, one that recognizes we can do more as a community working together than doing the same separately. The only limits we'll put on your working together with us are those dictated by the Lord. Anything less would rob us all of blessing.
So then, what does that vision consist of? The growth of a community that begins with learning how to meditate followed by praying together, building one another up in the chat room, testifying how meditation has helped us on the message board, sharing what we have gleaned from meditation in the Loaves and Fishes, and for those gaining insights into profounder issues, the Bible Forum.
At the Bible Forum level, ministry will be available for those ready to take on more responsibility. As you embrace the full vision, some of you will want to begin having a part in overseeing the site in various aspects as well as sharing in the financial costs. At this growth level, community is indispensable, for community will be needed to expand the ministry of the Centre to other language groups, beginning with Spanish, Portugese, Polish, Russian, and Chinese. Advertising for this will be offered on key sites. Farther on in the horizon are ebooks as well as print versions of the same, conferences, a writing school, and an exciting program in Bible memorization.
I think you can begin to sense that the Biblical Meditation Centre has the potential of becoming a people's movement. Of course, you won't be able to fully appreciate its magnitude until you experience for yourself the power greater than that of the atom--the power of biblical meditation.
